Hi Mickey - you are so lucky to have lived on home grown foods, meat included. Movies such as "Food Inc." and "Fast Food Nation" teach us how unhealthy commercial animal food production is - so there is a huge difference between that and home grown. I'm so excited for you that you're taking steps into your own well-being.
I'll be opening my Get Healthy Now Club later this summer - sign up for my Free Tips so you can get updates - it will help you with info and support on a regular basis. Stick around - I'm working on some great projects that will help you a lot. I look forward to you reporting to me about your steps toward better health!!!

wow!! I downloaded your book yesterday read 90% before going to bed. wow!
I have toyed around with the thought of doing the "vegetarian thing" for quite some time. After reading your e-book I really think I can do this. I already grind my own flour for bread , juice a few fruits and veggies for breakfast, and try to avoid white food stuffs. Although I really struggle with the thought of not eating meat, I was raised on the farm, we raised what we ate, (we did not make a living selling these things. My father was a blacksmith and trained horses) Every fall we filled the deep freezers-yes plural- with fruit, veggies and meat- wild and domestic. Honestly every meal I have ever cooked has centered around meat. Every summer my brothers roast a pig for the family gathering. I guess those are reasons I will struggle with the concept. But there are so many reasons for me to plow forward not the least of which is the 200 lbs on my 5'5" frame and the chronic infection I have had for 26 years in an old surgical scar that Dr. tell me "not to worry about".
Thank- you Cary for being clear, strait forward and honest. Your book was easy to read and to the point and your recipes are easy to follow and basic . Thanks again, wish me luck I have to go get my beans soaking for tomorrows lunch.
Respectfully mickey
