Friends of the Earth urge Go Vegetarian at Least Two Days a Week to Help Save the Planet

In order to feed our rapidly expanding population without doing more damage to the atmosphere, adopting a vegetarian diet at least a few days per week goes a long way to help reduce greenhouse gasses caused by cattle production and eliminates destruction of essential rainforest, according to Friends of the Earth.

“Sir Paul McCartney, Lord Stern and the UN have suggested people may to stop eating meat completely in order to prevent catastrophic climate change.”

“However, the new report says that if people cut meat from their diet for just two days a week – adopting “flexitarianism” – that will be enough to stop global warming.”

    Jeff could never go completely vegetarian, but we have meatless days more than twice a week!

    Hey Jan – I know you guys are pretty conscientious and Jeff has to keep the protein up for his blood sugar. Glad you’re part-time veggie. Kinda cool to hear the stats that even two days a week makes a big difference for the planet!
